To whom it may concern,

This letter serves to express my sincere interest in pursuing a career in collegiate coaching. As a former student athlete at Michigan State University I have gained valuable first hand knowledge of the demands placed on student-athletes and the magnitude of the culture on the success within a program.  It is because of my passion for the sport and my excitement in watching players improve that I look to continue on in collegiate athletics.

Throughout my collegiate and high school career I have had the opportunity to work with great coaches, administrators, mentors ; all of whom have made me a better coach and individual. I have had the opportunity to observe first hand the work ethic, organization, heart and care that goes into being a college coach. Additionally by completing my undergraduate degree in three years, I was afforded the opportunity to complete my Master of Arts and Education with a specialization in Sports Leadership and Coaching.  As apart of this degree, I gained additional insight into athletic administration, liabilities, safety, welfare, and the psychology of coaching and more.

There is no doubt that recruiting is the lifeline to all programs.  Recruiting takes constant attention, lengthy evaluation, time and the cultivation of relationships between coaches, prospects and parents. During my time at Michigan State University I have been a part of the recruiting process of many top prospects. Due to my strong interpersonal skills, commitment to excellence, empathy for the demands of student athletes, and appreciation for their growth both on and off the court I believe I would be a strong asset to your program.

Please feel free to call me at your earliest convenience. I am very interested in speaking further with you about how I may serve your program.  I can be reached at 517-648-------.  Thank you in advance for your consideration
